Ingredients

  • 500 ml (2 cups) milk
  • 120 g (4 ¼ oz) chocolate
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the cornstarch with a little of the milk in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to the mixture and whisk to combine.
  3. Heat the remaining milk in a pot over medium heat. Add the cocoa mixture, whisking continuously.
  4. Bring the hot chocolate to a gentle simmer, then add the chocolate. Continue whisking until the chocolate is fully melted.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
