Terms
Clear expectations for using IvanEats and Kitchen.
These terms apply when you use the IvanEats website, public recipes, an IvanEats account, Made-For-You recipe requests, public recipe sharing or a paid Kitchen membership.
Contact: IvanEats, contact@ivaneats.com. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that apply to you under mandatory law. IvanEats service details and the Stripe/Link merchant-of-record and billing details are also shown during checkout and on payment documentation.
Using IvanEats and Kitchen
IvanEats publishes recipes and cooking content that can be viewed without an account or subscription. Kitchen adds account-based features such as preferences, Made-For-You recipes, recipe history, saved recipes and public sharing of a Made-For-You recipe when you choose to use Share.
When you create an account or use Kitchen, you agree to use the service in accordance with these terms. The Privacy Policy and Cookies & analytics page explain how information and browser storage are handled.
Your account
IvanEats Kitchen accounts are intended for users aged 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity carried out through your account. Please keep your account information current and contact IvanEats if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
You can delete your account from your account settings. If an active Kitchen subscription is attached to the account, IvanEats first stops the recurring Stripe subscription so a deleted account cannot continue to be billed. IvanEats also revokes remaining public recipe links and removes their stored branded card images before completing account deletion. Deleting your account ends your access immediately and is different from normal subscription cancellation at the end of a paid period. Deleting an account does not by itself create a right to a refund beyond rights that apply under law or these terms.
Your free Kitchen try
Each eligible IvanEats account receives one lifetime free Kitchen recipe request. No payment card is required and using the free request does not automatically start a paid subscription.
The free request is used only when Kitchen successfully delivers at least one Made-For-You recipe. If no recipe passes Kitchen's culinary and ingredient checks, the free request remains available. The free request is separate from the 100 requests included with a later paid membership and never reduces those paid requests.
Kitchen membership and recurring billing
Kitchen membership is offered as a monthly subscription. Before you pay, checkout shows the selected currency, price, applicable taxes, billing interval and final amount. Prices may be offered in SEK, EUR, GBP or USD. The price shown and accepted at checkout is the price for that subscription unless it is later changed in accordance with applicable law and any required notice.
A paid membership renews monthly until cancelled. Payment processing, recurring billing and customer-facing transaction support are handled through Stripe Managed Payments. Link acts as merchant of record at checkout and handles applicable indirect tax for covered sales, while IvanEats remains responsible for providing Kitchen. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry the payment and Kitchen may remain available while the subscription is in a payment retry state. Paid access ends when the subscription no longer has an access-granting status, for example when it becomes unpaid or cancelled.
After the first subscription payment is successfully confirmed, IvanEats sends an essential membership confirmation email to the email address on your account. Stripe provides the payment receipt or paid invoice through Link for successful subscription payments. Billing documents and subscription management remain available through the billing controls linked from your IvanEats account and through Link while the relevant billing record is available.
How your monthly Kitchen requests work
A paid Kitchen membership currently includes up to 100 Kitchen recipe requests in each paid billing period, subject to an additional rolling limit of 10 requests per hour used to protect the service. Your billing period starts when your membership starts or renews, and your 100 requests start fresh with each renewal.
Kitchen aims to create up to three Made-For-You recipe options each time you ask. A request counts when at least one recipe passes Kitchen's culinary and ingredient checks and is delivered, whether you receive one, two or three recipes. If no recipe passes those checks, that request does not count toward your monthly 100. Unused requests do not roll over, have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
IvanEats may change future membership limits or features where reasonably needed to operate the service. A material change affecting an existing paid agreement will be handled with any notice, consent or cancellation rights required by law.
Saved Kitchen preferences
Paid members can save default servings, measurement system, diet category and ingredient exclusions so future Kitchen sessions can start with those choices. Non-members can still make the relevant choices each time they use Kitchen, but Kitchen does not apply saved account defaults while paid access is inactive.
Sharing Made-For-You recipes
When you open Share, Kitchen prepares a public link in the background. The shared page can show the full recipe and the IvanEats recipe that came first. It does not show your email, preferences, other History entries or other Kitchen recipes.
Anyone with the link can view and reshare it. Only share a recipe or image you are comfortable making public. We cannot remove copies that someone else has already saved, screenshotted or reshared.
If you add a photo, you confirm that you own it or have permission to share it and that it does not unfairly reveal someone else's personal information or break their rights. Kitchen stores the finished branded card, not a separate copy of the original photo.
You can remove the public link from Share. This removes the IvanEats page and stored card. Deleting your account also removes remaining links. IvanEats may disable a link when needed for safety, legal reasons, rights complaints, misuse or service operation.
Cancelling a Kitchen subscription
You can cancel future renewal from your IvanEats account. Normal cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, so Kitchen remains available until that date and you are not charged for another period. If you change your mind before the period ends, you can reactivate the subscription on your account.
You can also use Link order management or available Stripe billing settings to manage payment details, invoices and the subscription. Where cancellation is available through those controls, it is intended to end at the close of the current billing period rather than immediately.
Right of withdrawal
If Swedish distance-contract rules apply to your purchase, you normally have 14 days from the day you enter into the Kitchen subscription to tell IvanEats that you withdraw. This withdrawal period applies to the subscription agreement and does not restart when the same subscription renews each month. You do not need to give a reason. If you live in another country, mandatory consumer law may give you additional or stronger rights, and these terms do not reduce those rights.
Kitchen becomes available as soon as a successful payment is confirmed. Under Swedish law, a business may in some circumstances charge a proportionate amount for a service already supplied before withdrawal, but only when the consumer expressly asked for the service to start during the 14-day period and received the required information before purchase. Using Kitchen during the period does not automatically remove a statutory right of withdrawal.
IvanEats does not currently make such a proportionate deduction in the online withdrawal flow. For an eligible Kitchen subscription purchase within the withdrawal period, the current online flow ends the subscription immediately and refunds the relevant membership payment in full. This current refund policy can be more generous than the statutory minimum and does not limit any stronger consumer right that applies to you.
IvanEats provides an online withdrawal function for eligible Kitchen subscription purchases. It is separate from normal cancellation. The function records when your withdrawal was received and provides a durable acknowledgement. You may also contact IvanEats to exercise consumer rights; the online function is not intended to restrict another valid way of giving notice.
Made-For-You recipes and food safety
Kitchen uses automated systems, including AI, to create Made-For-You recipe suggestions from the information you provide. Generated suggestions can contain mistakes, omissions or unsuitable combinations, and they should be reviewed before you cook or serve them. The same limitation applies when a generated recipe is opened through a public share link.
Always check ingredients and labels for allergens, confirm quantities, follow appropriate food-storage practices, and make sure food is cooked safely and to an appropriate level of doneness. Do not rely on a generated recipe as the sole source of information where an allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement could create a health risk.
Acceptable use
You must not use IvanEats or Kitchen to:
- break the law or infringe another person's rights;
- interfere with, damage or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service;
- bypass usage limits, subscription controls, security controls or access restrictions;
- use automated requests or scraping in a way that places unreasonable load on the service;
- upload or share images or content you do not have the right to use; or
- misrepresent yourself as IvanEats or suggest an endorsement that does not exist.
IvanEats content
IvanEats photographs, videos, branding, writing and editorial recipe content are protected content. You may view, cook from and use the public recipes for normal personal and household purposes. Republishing or commercially exploiting IvanEats content, photographs or branding requires permission. The built-in public sharing feature may display IvanEats branding and the source-recipe connection as designed by the service; it does not grant a broader right to reuse those assets separately.
Made-For-You recipes are generated automatically and are not guaranteed to be unique. Similar or identical suggestions may be generated for different users.
Availability and changes
IvanEats may update, improve, replace or discontinue features over time. The service, public share links or stored share-card images may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security work, provider outages or other technical issues. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability or permanent hosting of a shared link.
We may update these terms when the service or applicable rules change. Where a change materially affects an existing agreement or requires your agreement under applicable law, we will provide the notice or choice required by law.
Responsibility and consumer rights
IvanEats aims to provide the service with reasonable care, but generated content and technical features can contain errors. You remain responsible for the cooking decisions you make using a recipe, including allergen and food-safety checks, and for content or photographs you choose to make public through sharing.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where the law does not allow that exclusion or limitation.
Questions, complaints and applicable law
For questions or complaints, contact contact@ivaneats.com. We would like the opportunity to resolve a problem directly with you first.
These terms are governed by Swedish law, while any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you remain unaffected. Consumers may also have access to an independent dispute-resolution body, such as the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), where the relevant requirements are met.
